In April I painted a series of small impressionistic landscapes featuring different parts of my garden. Each was painted en plein air and then finished with a more critical eye, independent of reference.
My intent was to allow myself more loose experimentation with color and brush strokes— equal parts artistic study and art therapy. I feel very grateful to have so many opportunities to paint nature from life in my own backyard.
Each are freshly varnished and listed for sale on my new oil painting shop.
